چکیده
In principle, biocompatible, wireless nanotransducers might be useful for many in vivo biomedical applications such as hyperthermia, thermal blation, targeted drug delivery, and in vivo monitoring of physiological parameters. In this article, we theoretically study the possibility of applying ing-shaped wireless Joule nanoheaters as possible nanovectors for targeted drug delivery, hyperthermia, and thermal ablation. This examination ay offer an approach for guiding practical experiments. 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Pilot Aided Scheduling for Uplink Ofdma
In the field of wireless communication, Energy efficiency is very important because of the expectation with wireless links to meet the increasing QoS demand. This results in increase of device power consumption. So we present an energy efficient scheduling using water filling algorithm with OFDMA technique for multiuser. Subcarrier allocation for a multiple access OFDM system is found out by th...
متن کاملBit per Joule Achievable Rate of Cooperative Sensor Networks with Hybrid ARQ
Cooperation in wireless networks has been recently considered as a technique to increase the network throughput. However, for sensor networks with limited available energy, this benefit may come at the expense of a increased energy consumption due to the simultaneous transmission by many nodes. In this paper we consider the bit per Joule achievable rate (AR) as a performance measure of a cooper...
متن کاملAnalysis of Energy Consumption for Ad Hoc Wireless Sensor Networks Using a Bit-Meter-per-Joule Metric
In this article, we present a system-level characterization of the energy consumption for sensor network application scenarios. We compute a power efficiency metric—average watt-per-meter—for each radio transmission and extend this local metric to find the global energy consumption. This analysis shows how overall energy consumption varies with transceiver characteristics, node density, data tr...
متن کاملGrowth of wireless ad hoc networks
The utility of a node in an energy-limited wireless ad hoc network is defined as a positive linear function of the number of bits that the node sends as a source and the number of bits that it receives as a destination. First, we show that under the one-to-one traffic model in which every node wants to send traffic to a randomly chosen destination node, a utility that grows asymptotically at le...
متن کاملEnhanced thermal emission from individual antenna-like nanoheaters.
Here we report polarization-sensitive, thermal radiation measurements of individual, antenna-like, thin film Platinum nanoheaters. These heaters confine the lateral extent of the heated area to dimensions smaller (or comparable) to the thermal emission wavelengths. For very narrow heater structures the polarization of the thermal radiation shows a very high extinction ratio as well as a dipolar...
